Kristen Williams, MDiv, MEd, LPC, NCC formed Thresholds Counseling and Consulting, PLLC in order to do what the Celts would call obair anama -- soul work. Soul work is comprehensive in that it engages the psyche, the mind, the heart, the spirit--every part of one's being. Thus it is a practice that weaves together traditional counseling and spiritual exploration. We are all on a journey of personal internal exploration throughout our lives, whether aware of it or not. Entering into one's own soul work is a way not only to bring health and vitality to one's life, but to honor the gift of life and Spirit itself.

Kristen Williams is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Mississippi, and also a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She is a member of both the Mississippi Counseling Association (MCA) and the American Counseling Association (ACA).

Her education includes:

• B.S. in Social and Rehabilitation Services from the University of Southern Mississippi
• M.Div. from Duke University
• M.Ed. in Community Counseling from the University of Mississippi

She is also an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church, Mississippi Annual Conference, as well as a trained spiritual director.
